Whether you are a street rider, new to racing or yearning to become an expert we offer the right program for you!  Short descriptions below, with more details by following the blue links. 

Track Experience (all events)

No racers here!  This is a track day combined with the opportunity to learn from top expert riders.  Students come expecting to have fun on the track and leave faster, safer and more confident!  If you have the basics of riding down, there is a place for you here.

Basic License Certification (before all NEMRR events)

This course is for riders who want to become certified for a racing license and have the ability to participate in racer practice days. This class is accredited by all major racing organizations. This original Penguin class started in 1973, and will give you a fantastic base for racetrack success.

Advanced Course (all events)

If you want to be a better rider, this is the class for you!  This acclaimed course is for riders who have at least 3-4 recent track days under their belt or for riders with a racing license.  Detailed classroom, track walk and individual tutoring is available.  If you have questions, we will have answers.

What is NESBC?  It's a totally optional, super-fun feature at some of our Penguin days.  Think of it as a half step between track days and racing, with a focus on rider safety and FUN!  Classes for street riders, novices and experts. Team championships, prizes, purse money !  CLICK HERE for the basics.

NEMRR FRIDAY PRACTICEAll Friday schools at NHMS are followed by a Sat/Sun NEMRR race event.  All these Friday schools (plus Thursday before the NHMS event in June) have a racer practice open to all licensed riders.  There is a Learn to Fly Practice pass program for racers.  DETAILS HERE

    Riders interested in NEMRR Super Street need to sign up for Friday with Penguin, which will qualify you to attend.  Riders can then sign up for Saturday/Sunday Super Street at the track on Friday afternoon with NEMRR and Penguin will help you through the entire sign up process.  Super Street is incredibly fun - you're sure to get hooked!!

    Rain/No show Insurance (This insurance is automatically included for Learn to Fly PLUS members)  
    Why do riders purchase Insurance?  Signing up in advance saves money, but some riders are concerned about the weather.  Penguin ALWAYS runs - rain or shine.  If the forecast has you worried or you have an emergency, this insurance guarantees you a future event credit for 90% of your tuition or bike rental (if selected).  Insurance is only available 10 or more days before the event and costs $25. There is an additional cost of $50 if you need to include a motorcycle rental in this coverage.  

    Walk-in registration details 
    Basic License Certification and racer practice are always available at NHMS and no one is turned away.  Track Experience & Advanced Groups often sell out, so we strongly advise pre-registration for those groups.

    Rain/No show Insurance (tuition portion included for all Learn to Fly PLUS members)  You save at least $25-$45 by registering early, but what if it rains or something happens?  Riders registering at least 10 days in advance can purchase Rain/No Show Insurance for $25 per day on this form.  The cost is $50 per day if you want to include a motorcycle rental in your insurance.  This insurance gives you credit for 80% of your tuition and 50% of a bike rental (if selected) for a future event if you do not show for any reason.
